Jon Lopez Biography
Jon Lopez has been performing magic since the age of 6. He grew up in the small Northern California town of Winters and began learning magic by reading books at the local library. His first performances were at local libraries, schools and birthday parties. After High School, several agencies picked him up, but the one with whom he developed the closest relationship was Absurd Entertainment. Under the long-time mentorship of Bosco the Magician, magic became a full time living for Jon. In 1992, Jon officially became a professional magician and opened his own entertainment company, Real Magic. He maintained the friendship and continued to work on occasion with Bosco (aka Joseph Bossenmaier), until Bosco the Magician's untimely passing in March of 2016. Over the years, Real Magic expanded to include corporate and personal party and event planning. In 2002, Jon Lopez was named “Best Magician” by Sacramento News and Review. He has performed for celebrities such as Don Johnson, Joe Montana, Bo Jackson, and the cast of Beverly Hills, 90210. He has performed at the Horizon Casino in Lake Tahoe, Harrah’s Incline Village, Thunder Valley Casino in Rocklin, and wowed audiences at corporate trade shows both locally and out of state. |
